Estray records, 1820-[ongoing].

The probate judge is required to record notices of impoundment of stray animals (see Ala. Code, 3-2-21 [1975]). This series consists of entries that provide a description of the animals impounded, place where they were picked up, the name of the person in possession of them, date of recording, and fees collected. This record began in 1820 and continues to the present.
